eIntroduction to Mindfulness Meditation
Mindfulness is the gentle effort to be present with one's experience. This secular course teaches the basics of Mindfulness Meditation, including an examination of our attitudes and assumptions. You will learn skills for Mindfulness Meditation and the postures that will allow you to benefit the most from your practice. You will learn how to create and maintain a regular home practice. Breath awareness, body awareness, walking meditation and loving kindness meditation will be taught as well. Come join us and learn the skills and techniques that will undoubtedly help you uncover a more present, kinder and peaceful you.
The course consists of two sessions.
WHEN: Tuesday, May 22 and 29, 2018 from 6:00-7:30 PM
TEACHER: Nancy Saum, RN
WHERE: Unitarian Universalist Church Library (3975 Fruitville Road)
COST: $40 for the course (two evenings). Some scholarships are available.
You must register to attend (see link below). Cushions and chairs will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing. Space is limited.
