Mindfulness, Food and Body Image
A 6-week program for women who would like to explore their relationship with food and body image.
This workshop is open to women who have struggled with eating too much, too little, eating too fast, eating junk food or eating to fill emotional needs.
Each class includes time for mindfulness meditation instruction and practice related specifically to food or body image. There will also be time for discussion, questions, and special topics such as pleasant and unpleasant eating experiences, anger, deprivation, family history, how you sabotage yourself and how you nurture yourself around food and body image.
The instructor, Lily Myers, MA, is a licensed clinical mental health counselor and meditation teacher with 25 years of experience leading groups in a variety of settings. She has a psychotherapy practice in Sarasota.
New 6-week series beginning the fall of 2017 at the UU Church West Wing, 3975 Fruitville Rd., Sarasota, Fl.

MINDFUL EATING SUPPORT GROUP
This group is open to women who have already attended the 6 week Mindfulness, Food & Body Image program and are looking for continuing support and skill building around mindful eating /body image. The group will meet once a month to practice eating awareness, deepen meditation skills, and engage in group discussions around body image, and how to create more balance in life around food and eating.
The group will meet on Tuesday mornings, 10-11:30am, Oct 17, Nov 21, Dec 19. There is a 3 month commitment required. The cost is $75. Contact Lily at 603-924-2216 to register.
