


Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the gentle effort to be present with one's experience. This secular course teaches the basics of mindfulness in daily life and mindfulness meditation, including an examination of our attitudes and assumptions. You will learn about taking Mindful Moments in your daily life and skills for Mindfulness Meditation (can be just 5 to 10 minutes a day!). You will learn how to create and maintain a regular home practice. Breath awareness, body awareness, walking meditation and loving kindness/ gratitude meditations will be taught as well. Come join us and learn the skills and techniques that will undoubtedly help you uncover a more present, kinder and peaceful you.
WHEN: The course consists of three sessions via Zoom --Mondays, Oct. 19, 26, and Nov. 2, 2020, 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
WHO: This class is for adults interested in learning the basics of mindfulness meditation.

WHAT TO BRING: Meditation cushions and chairs are provided. Please bring whatever pillow, sweater, shawl will help you be more comfortable. Wear comfortable clothing. Avoid perfumes and scents.
Leave your cell phones in the car, or please turn them off.
COST: $30 for the course (three evenings). Some scholarships are available.
