Dan Goldman, Ph.D

Dan began his formal practice of mindfulness meditation in 2005 at the Ekoji Buddhist Sangha in Richmond, Virginia.  He continued his practice at the Tallahassee Buddhist Community in Tallahassee, FL, and upon his arrival in Sarasota in 2012, at the Sarasota Mindfulness Institute.  In addition to attending local retreats in the Tampa Bay area, he has gone on extended silent meditation retreats primarily at Vallecitos Mountain Retreat Center in New Mexico.

Over the course of his practice, he has been blessed with opportunities to learn from notable meditation teachers including Jack Kornfield, Joseph Goldstein, Ram Dass, Taraniya Ambrosia, and Bill & Susan Morgan.  A licensed psychologist, he continues to train in the integration of mindfulness and psychotherapy, recently earning a certificate from the Institute for Mindfulness and Psychotherapy.  When not deep in meditation, he enjoys spending time with his fiance, son, and poodle, Scuba.
