Deborah Riley, Ph.D
SMI Board Member

Deborah has been practicing yoga for more than 10 years and was introduced to mindfulness four years ago when she moved to Florida. She has found mindfulness practice to be life changing as it brings healing to the heart, mind, and body. She embraces the teachings that help us live from the heart with compassion and wisdom, building a happier, more peaceful world. 


Deborah is a practitioner of continuous learning.  She regularly attends the Friday sessions at Sarasota Mindfulness Institute (SMI) and enjoys participating in the book reviews. She recently completed the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program (MBSR) and Mindful Eating Programs at SMI. She is also a member of Kadampa Meditation Center, Florida. 


Deborah is a biologist, loves nature, family and friends, and to be beside the seaside!
