Lynne Lockie, a clinical social worker and artist has been practicing meditation for 55 years, starting practice with her teacher Shunryu Suzuki, Roshi at San Francisco Center until his death. She founded the Minnesota Zen Center with others, and was a founding Board Member of the Chattanooga Center for Mindful Living. She has explored meditation/contemplative traditions finding useful commonalities and has recently been teaching in the Vipassana tradition for the Chattanooga Insight Meditation group. She has spent three-month sessions at the Zen monastery and attends regular 10-day silent retreats.
