Mindful eating is about rekindling a healthier relationship with food and how we eat. In this three-session class, we’ll apply mindfulness meditation practice to the process of eating, which can be very helpful in changing our behavior patterns. Each class includes time for meditation instruction, discussion, questions, and special topics such as exploring pleasant and unpleasant eating experiences, the 6 BASICS of mindful eating, and how we can both sabotage and nourish ourselves with food.
Lily Myers, MA, LMHC, and Lisa Patterson, MA, LPC, CT, RYT-200, both mental health counselors and meditation teachers, will lead the class. It’s scheduled live on zoom for Mondays, April 5, 12, and 19th, from 6-7:30pm. The cost is $30 (with financial aid available upon request).
This Sarasota Mindfulness Institute program is being held via Zoom for three consecutive Monday evenings.
