Mindful Grief and Bereavement
We experience grief when we experience any change in our relationship to the world. Some losses are large, some are smaller; no matter the size, grief is a normal human reaction to loss, and how we uniquely express it is called bereavement. Mindfulness can be a remarkable tool and support for aligning mind, body, & heart during "grief work". Utilizing your practice to become more mindful of your inner life as the mourning process unfolds not only helps you cope, it can help you to grow through your losses. Join Lisa Patterson, ADEC-certified Thanatologist, on Zoom for discussion and guided exercises on mindfully being with grief.
Classes are free but dana is always gratefully accepted by SMI. A donation of $10 or more will provide SMI with resources to support our programs and for teacher compensation.
