Online Movement Classes
The following classes are online Zoom classes only, taught by Nancy Saum, RN.
Qigong
This practice may be described as moving meditation, with coordinated slow flowing movement, deep rhythmic breathing, and a focused meditative state of mind. Qigong is now practiced throughout China and worldwide for recreation, exercise, relaxation, disease prevention, self-healing, meditation and self cultivation. No prior Qigong experience required.
Class Times: Classes are suspended for the month of March and there will no longer be a Tuesday evening class.
Online classes will resume on April 5, 10:00am EST
Tai Chi Easy, Mondays, 10am EST
QiGong, Thursdays, 10am EST
Tai Chi Easy™
Tai Chi Easy™ is a blend of simple medical Qigong techniques with carefully chosen Tai Chi exercises that are accessible to anyone, from the very fit to those confined to wheelchairs or recovering from surgery. As you move, you breathe deeply and naturally, focusing your attention — just as you do in mindfulness meditation — on breath and bodily sensations. Instruction will be limited, so it would be somewhat challenging for people completely new to the practice.

SMI Mindful Movement Classes with Nancy Saum are Now Donation-based!
Mindful Movement classes will continue in April, on the same days and at the same times, but are switching from per-class payment to a by-donation-only format. Now, with your one-time registration, you will be able to drop-in to any/all of the weekly movement classes.
You will find a link for donations on both the registration form and in your weekly email reminder. Please notice that there will be two Zoom links: one link for morning classes, and one link for the Tuesday evening class. Email your questions to smi@sarasotamindfulness.org.
