Yoga Nidra, also known as ‘yogic sleep’, is an ancient yogic practice of healing and relaxation. The teacher facilitates and induces relaxation for students through guided meditation. The practice of yoga Nidra helps to release physical tension and slow the breath, which in turn, slows the heartbeat down enough to establish a calm body and mind. Engaging in this type of yoga helps improve quality of sleep and manage chronic pain. This class is being held on Zoom.
Classes are free but dana is always gratefully accepted by SMI. Donations to classes provide SMI with resources for teacher compensation.
